This novel has the most confusing power I have seen so far, it seems like someone that take a finance class and mixed deb and bonds without giving much context.
His debtor skill has like no clearly defined restraints or just a definition in general, he beats up a kid in a duel and then says you owe me, then his skills activate, Like wtf? He even threatens a teacher with MUTUAL destruction, but the teacher still owes him? As long as he says, you owe me, his skill just works on his opponents.

Good premise translation needs to be cleaned up a bit. The definition of "debt" is arbitrary as fuck though, added with him being able to pick whatever he wants without balance you might as well say he can steal anything and control everyone around him. He doesn't have to make a clever plan or complete tasks that build an actual debt of equivalent exchange so there really isn't alot of tension.
